Iran’s ‘Wait a Moment’ competing at River Film Festival

Iranian short ‘Wait a Moment’ is competing at the 15th River Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian short flick ‘Wait a Moment’ has been competing at the 15th River International Film Festival (RIFF) in Italy.

Directed by Edris Nasseri and competing at the Orizzonti Internazionali section of the Italian event, the 20-minute film is about a couple whose momentary decisions ruin their lives.

The male character in the story misunderstands his wife and accidentally and unintentionally kills her.

Now he is regretful about what he has done and wants to see his wife again. So, he takes hallucinogenic pills to see her again.

The RIFF hosts a wide range of works from around the world and provides an opportunity for filmmakers, screenwriters, and many experts to exchange experiences.

The 2021 edition of the festival, started on July 1 and currently underway in the Italian city of Padova, will run until July 25.

The other Iranian representatives at this edition of the RIFF are ‘The Middle’ by Soheil Soheili, ‘Pass’ by Elika Abdollahi, ‘The Rotation’ by Hazhir Asadi, ‘The Recess’ by Navid Nikkhah-Azad, ‘Dream Haulers’ by Farzaneh Qaemi, ‘The White Whale’ by Amir Mehran, ‘Sky Sun, Tile Sun’ by Ziba Arzhang, and ‘Today is Friday’ by Mohammad Ahangar.
